Provenance:

Descended in the Busk family Wadsworth Dawson Busk (1804-1873) was the oldest son of Sir Wadsworth Dawson Busk, Attorney General for England and Wales. Busk managed Giles, Loder & Co., one of the 19th century English merchant houses in St. Petersburg that facilitated trade between the two empires. The candelabra descended to his son Joseph R. Busk who moved to New York City and became the first British Commodore of the New York Yacht Club and winner of the America's Cup in 1881.
